Frederick County does not provide curbside collection of Christmas trees.
In the District, holiday trees and greenery will be collected between January 13 and February 2.

Residents within the city of Greenville can drag their trees out to the curb to be picked up along with their garbage and other recycling.
Residents should cut trees over 5 feet tall into sections and place them out on regular trash or recycling collection day at least 3 feet from carts. The trees will be transported to Orange Grove Brush Holding Site and grinded into mulch on site rather than being transported to the landfill. While Marraccini didn't have an exact count, he said "thousands" of former Christmas trees were dropped off a year ago and used for fish habitats.
