Story Highlights lets you show all the sides of your personality, and you can make highlights out of anything you've shared to your story in the past. However, unlike Stories that disappear after 24 hours, the story highlights stay on your profile until you remove them. This week the Facebook-owned app unveiled two new tools called Stories Highlights and Stories Archive.
Speaking of that, you can now create Stories Highlights to combine your photos and videos that you think are your best or that go together or that showcase the best of what you can do or offer.
'From there, you can choose any stories from your archive, select a cover for your highlight and give it a name.

With Stories Archive, all Instagram Stories are automatically saved into a private archive. Users can tap on any story in your archive to watch it. Just yesterday we brought you a story about how users can now import their Instagram contacts to Messenger. Just tap and hold a highlight to edit or remove it. Instagram will add your expired stories to the feature; but with option for users to opt out at any time they so desire to.
From there, you can re-live your favourite stories (#memories). Your Stories will be archived automatically and will be private to you.
Currently, when users want to share each someone's post, they have to either save the image and post it on via their own Instagram account, or use apps designed for this objective, such as Regram.
Instagram says the updates represent the biggest change to profiles since 2013.
