Celebrities ranging from movie stars to professional athletes mocked President Trump for claiming Friday that he turned down being named Time's "Person of the Year". He tweeted: "I said probably is no good and took a pass".
Time later posted a tweet of its own disputing Trump's account: "The President is incorrect about how we choose Person of the Year".

From the looks of Trump's Twitter, it's been a busy weekend for the president. He has at various times dubbed it "fake news" or the "Clinton News Network".
At the time he predicted Time "would never pick me as person of the year".
Trump hasn't taken down his tweet, or tweeted back to TIME - yet.
At the time, explaining their decision, the judges wrote: "It's hard to measure the scale of his disruption".
In a tweet late Friday as he spent the Thanksgiving holiday in Florida, Trump sounded dismissive of the honor he received past year and could well receive again.

Former adviser to former President Obama and current co-host of "Pod Save America" Dan Pfeiffer tweeted that Trump's claim is "sad" and the president is "so needy for approval".
