Simpson, who was apparently trying to steal memorabilia he thought had been stolen from him, was sentenced to 33 years in prison. Around midnight he was heard exchanging angry words with the hotel staff, and he then began breaking glasses, according to celebrity website TMZ.
A witness, meanwhile, spotted Simpson inside the hotel shortly after midnight. The outlet notes that he's been permanently banned from the Cosmopolitan. A patron at the hotel's bar told ABC News that Simpson arrived around 10:40 p.m.
