Income Tax officials are also conducting a search at the residence of V.Dhivakaran, brother of V.K.Sasikala, at Sundarakottai near Mannargudi. I-T officials searched the residence of Sasikala's nephew Vivek Jayaraman, who controls Jaya TV and Jazz Cinemas that are owned by her family members.
Chennai, NOv 9 (UNI) In what could be billed as the biggest ever raids in terms of number of places, officials of the Income-tax department today conducted searches at the houses and business premises of jailed and expelled AIADMK Amma leader V K Sasikala, her nephew TTV Dhinakaran and their entire clan, including Jaya TV and AIADMK organ Namadhu MGR.
Reports says that after the death of J Jayalalithaa both Jaya TV and Dr Namadhu have only functioned as the mouthpiece for the AIADMK. News agency PTI reports that the searches follow allegations of shell companies, dubious investments, fund flow and fudging of accounts by Jaya TV, started by former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa and now controlled by the family of Sasikala, who was her closest aide. The central government is behind these raids. The raid began at 6.30 am and is ongoing.
U.S. tightens Cuba travel rules
USA tourists look at products inside the Cuban private design store Clandestina in Havana, Cuba, October 23, 2017. When it comes travel, individual educational travel not linked to an academic entity will no longer be allowed.
The Income Tax department also raided AIADMK Karnataka in-charge, Pugazhendi's house in Bengaluru's Domlur area.
As the I-T raids and search operations carried on, a defiant Dhinakaran emerged from his Chennai residence to tell mediapersons: "my farm house at Puducherry is being searched..." "If they're conducting raids for speaking against demonetisation, I'll repeat it". Soon after IT authorities arrived at his home in Adyar in high-class south Chennai, Dinakaran said the raids were politically launched.
He said he and his family had been experiencing such things for over three decades and that they will deal with it legally and not be cowed down.
Facebook appeals for nude photos in battle against revenge porn
Once this is done, Facebook can then create a digital fingerprint of the picture, marking it as a non-consensual explicit image. It seems Australians are having problems with #Revenge Porn , or to give it a more official title, "image-based abuse".
The list of locations that were raided reads like a family directory of jailed AIADMK leader VK Sasikala.
"It is very obvious that this is an attempt by the Centre to intimidate us", said advocate Kasimanabharathi, who represents various organisations belonging to the Sasikala family.
