Mazar-e- Sharif, Afghanistan- Several US soldiers were reportedly wounded when an Afghan soldier opened fire on North Atlantic Treaty Organisation troops.
The attack occurred at Camp Shaheen, which serves as the headquarters for the Afghan Army's 209th Corps in Mazar-i-Sharif.
If confirmed as an incident among joint forces, it would mark the second time in a week that members of allied Afghan troops opened fire on USA counterparts.
"An Afghan soldier shot and killed four American troops inside the base, " the statement by the military said, adding "we are investigating".
